Caught in the Breakroom Snack Drawer
Anonymous Dizzy Plum #796 · General Confessions
I've always tried my best to stick to the rules at work, especially as a night-shift Mommy. My partner and I have this DDLG dynamic that works wonders for us, but sometimes it’s hard to maintain discipline when things get hectic. Last week was particularly grueling, with back-to-back shifts and little sleep. One evening, after clocking in late from another shift, I found myself absolutely famished. We had agreed on a strict no-snacking policy at work as part of our dynamic. But there’s something about the breakroom snack drawer that just calls my name. The thought of those chocolate cookies, freshly baked by one of the daytime staff and still warm, was too much to resist. I couldn’t help myself. I told myself it was a one-time thing, but breaking any agreement we make is tough on us both. I know deep down, he’ll be disappointed that I broke this rule. It’s moments like these that make me question how well I’m balancing our dynamic with my own personal needs during such demanding times.
