...Just Another Day in the Life...

Today was one of those days when being a Mommy wasn't just about changing diapers or making tea. It's more than that now, but you know what I mean. We started with the usual, I had my sub come over for a visit and we settled into our routine... He asked me to review his homework, which was actually an excuse to let him pretend he needs help tying his shoes. After lunch, things got a bit more serious... I decided it was time to put him over my knee for some well-deserved discipline after he misbehaved earlier. It wasn't exactly a light tap either... He cried and begged, but the real kicker was when he whispered 'thank you' as if he knew it would set everything right again between us. Sometimes I wonder what people think we do all day, but hey, at least my weekends are quiet without this drama...
