My Double Life
Anonymous Candy Doll #634 · General Confessions
I'm in my early twenties and I've been exploring DDLG dynamics for a couple of years now. In one life, I’m Alice, the playful little girl who craves her caregiver’s attention and approval. Then there's Jane, the independent woman who manages clients at a tech firm by day and takes care of Alice's emotional needs at night. The dynamic between us is clear: whenever we're together, I'm always Alice, and she's my protector and guide. There are days when it feels like two different people live inside me. Our arrangement started during a particularly rough patch in my life. A close relationship ended suddenly, leaving me feeling adrift and vulnerable. I had been interested in DDLG play for some time but hesitant to dive into something so intense without knowing what it really meant. Then I found an online group where people shared their experiences with carefree honesty. Reading through them made the idea seem less daunting. Jane is a few years older than me, and we met when she posted on one of these groups looking for someone who was willing to try DDLG play. She had experience as both a little and a caregiver and suggested that I join her as her little girl. I agreed, nervous but excited at the same time. The first few sessions were challenging. It’s hard to be Alice in front of Jane when you’re used to handling your own adult problems. But over time, I learned how to slip into this new role more naturally, and I found immense comfort in it. Being able to let go of my worries and just be taken care of is something I never expected could feel so freeing. Yet, there are days when the lines between Jane’s world and my own blur uncomfortably. It can be difficult to switch back from Alice after a session, sometimes leaving me feeling childlike even during work hours. My colleagues might not understand why suddenly I seem more dependent or ask for help with tasks I’d usually handle myself. This duality is both the joy and struggle of our dynamic. I wanted to write this down to acknowledge how much my life has shifted since finding Jane. The DDLG lifestyle isn’t for everyone, but it’s worked wonders for me. It's a safe space where I can explore parts of myself that would never come out in another setting.
