A Moment of Weakness
Anonymous Bratty Bunny #374 · General Confessions
As a barista, I'm supposed to stick to my responsibilities and maintain order in the café. But last week, when I was feeling particularly overwhelmed from juggling work and being Mommy, I let myself break one of my rules: I left a customer's order untouched while attending to another. It wasn't intentional, it was like my mind just froze for that moment, but it felt like a huge failure in my Mommy role. Guilt ate away at me all day; the trust placed in me by customers and colleagues is everything, and I let them down. That little lapse in discipline echoes in my head as loudly as any punishment might.
