Forgot My Homework

So I totally forgot my homework last night. Yeah, I know, big deal right? But here’s the thing, it wasn’t just any old assignment. It was something I had been assigned to bring by my Guardian a week ago. You see, he's this older guy who looks after me and reminds me of things when I forget. We have our little routines and rules, but sometimes I slip up. Anyway, so today, I got there without it and the look on his face... oh boy. He gave me that disappointed dad stare, the one where you can just feel all your mistakes come crashing down. But he didn’t get mad at me or anything. We talked about why I forgot, how important it is to stay organized, even if you’re having a hard time focusing. And then we had ice cream. Because sometimes, even when you mess up, there’s still room for treats and understanding.
