A Moment of Weakness

Today was a hard day with the kids. We had plans to clean out their toy room before dinner, but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. The house is a bit cluttered and needs some attention, but in my headspace as their caregiver, sometimes I need to admit when I'm failing at being an exemplary figure. Plus, they were such good kids today, getting their homework done without any nagging from me, that I felt like rewarding myself with a little indulgence in laziness. It’s not often I slip up this way, but it happens. Tomorrow is another day to get back on track.
