A Moment of Weakness

I've always prided myself on being a strong Mommy in my DDLG relationship. My partner and I have an arrangement where he's the submissive child, and I'm his guiding light, helping him navigate life’s challenges with love and discipline when needed. But last week, after months of feeling distant from each other due to work stress and personal struggles, there was a moment when I couldn't maintain that facade any longer. We were in our living room, the atmosphere heavy with unspoken tensions, and he was playing a game on his phone. In my frustration, I took the phone from him and set it aside, telling him sternly to focus on us instead of distractions. The look in his eyes then, a mix of surprise and hurt, cut deep. It reminded me that no matter how strong we project ourselves to be, moments like these can shatter even the most stable relationships. That night, after he fell asleep, I lay awake, feeling both sad and alone, wondering if our bond could weather such storms.
