When Work Gets Too Stressful...
Anonymous Midnight Cupcake #754 · General Confessions
I'll be honest, working from home can get pretty lonely and stressful. One day, after a particularly rough week of deadlines and client meetings, I decided to call in my partner for some stress relief. They are a dominant who has a knack for understanding exactly what I need at any given moment. This time was no different. As soon as they walked through the door, dressed all business casual like it was just another day but with an undertone of playfulness, I knew we were going to have some fun. The minute my boss called me in a meeting and kept me on hold for ten minutes straight, my partner had already set up my bedroom into a playful scene, complete with soft blankets and little pillows everywhere. I started off as the little one, curling up in the corner of our makeshift playroom while they sat across from me, their eyes gleaming with mischief. They handed over a toy phone and told me to call my 'boss' again, mimicking the stress I felt earlier that day. It was both funny and relieving how well they understood what I needed. We ended up spending hours in this little space, playing out various scenarios that helped me release all of my pent-up frustration. It might sound silly, but it's an essential part of our relationship. By the end of it, I felt completely rejuvenated and ready to face another week with a clearer head.
