A Day in the Life of Mommy Techie

I've been this software engineer for years now, but I admit, my kink tends to overshadow my daily work life. Yesterday was a particularly interesting day, I found myself playing mommy at a friend's request during our weekly playdate. It started off as something casual; they had mentioned wanting to explore the dynamic sometime over email. So there we were, in this cozy apartment filled with toys and trinkets that reminded me more of my childhood than adulthood. I ended up getting pretty into it too, you know how it goes: enforcing arbitrary rules, doling out little punishments for imagined misbehavior (all consensual, of course), and indulging in some playful role-reversals. The whole affair left me feeling rather amused at myself. My inner critic couldn't help but remark on the irony of how my tech-driven analytical mind found itself swept away by such a whimsical dynamic.
