Late Night Loneliness

Anonymous Pouty Cub #312 · General Confessions

Working nights is like living in a parallel universe where everyone else sleeps and you're awake. Tonight was different though, I took on a new little one who needed extra care, and we ended up pushing the boundaries of our relationship. She felt so lost and fragile that it tugged at my heart strings. We ended up in her room, me sitting by the window with the moonlight reflecting off her curls as she lay curled up next to me like a kitten. I found myself whispering stern yet gentle words, setting boundaries and enforcing them softly, knowing she'd never be alone again, even if only for tonight.
