Medical Consent Forms and Beyond

I suppose there's something to be said for thoroughness. As a doctor, I'm used to dealing with forms that cover all conceivable bases, but it was quite the experience when my boyfriend, who is considerably younger than me and loves this dynamic (he's in his twenties, just so you know), had me sign a medical consent form before we even thought about starting our little game. He insisted on outlining every potential scenario down to the last detail, bruises, bumps, psychological well-being, and made sure everything was documented properly. It’s almost professional how he approaches it all. The irony is not lost on me that here I am signing off on a fantasy play session as if it's a routine surgical procedure. Yet, once we got into character (or rather, out of my character), the seriousness turned into something far more playful and passionate than any paperwork could convey. We had a blast. But here’s the real question for you all: Have you ever engaged in adult play with someone where everything was meticulously planned down to legal documents? How did that feel compared to the actual experience?
