Blown Cover at Work

So I'm this thirty-something nurse with a caregiver side job that's got me in some odd headspace. Anyway, one day my client was really pushing back about taking his meds and being difficult. I know the protocol is to stick to firm boundaries and follow the rules, no bending them for convenience, but something snapped when he was being particularly stubborn. So I did what I sometimes fantasize about doing: I gave him a little timeout in his room, with no TV or phone access. Yeah, it felt oddly satisfying but also wrong as hell because it's not my place to impose that kind of discipline. Plus, I forgot something important after that, don't ask me what, just know it was bad and now I feel like an idiot for messing up such a simple task.
