little me did it again

so i work at a bookstore and we have this rule where you're not supposed to take free books. it's one of those rules that everyone knows but no one really talks about unless someone messes up big time. anyway, the other day, i was shelving these new releases and there was this book by my favorite author staring me in the face. it was like a little whisper telling me 'take me home.' so naturally, little me couldn't resist and just slipped it into my bag. felt kinda silly afterwards since it's not exactly rocket science to notice something like that missing but i guess sometimes you have to admit when you're being naughty.
