Oopsie! Breaking the No-Sugar Rule

Anonymous Pouty Bean #899 · General Confessions

I'm Dr. Emily Fields, a 35-year-old pediatrician who's recently started exploring a DDLG dynamic with my partner, Alex. It might sound odd for me to be in charge of an adult like him, but it’s actually quite fulfilling for both of us. We’ve agreed on some basic rules and roles that help set the tone for our relationship and have a bit of fun while adding a unique spice to our everyday lives. One day, Alex had just left for work after telling me he was on a strict diet because of his blood sugar levels. He mentioned that part of this diet was avoiding any sugary snacks or drinks until dinner time. While I was alone in the house and feeling a bit restless, my eyes caught sight of a small packet of candy hidden in our kitchen drawer. You see, Alex often uses these sweets to keep his energy up between meals since he has hypoglycemia, but as part of his diet regimen today, this was strictly off-limits. However, with no one around and the allure of that sweet treat calling my name from its hiding spot, I made a quick decision. I thought to myself, 'Why not? Just this once,' and before I knew it, those little candies were all gone. I tried to convince myself they wouldn’t do much harm since he wasn't around, but deep down, I felt guilty about breaking one of his health guidelines without even trying to contact him first. After a few hours of internal conflict, I decided it would be best if Alex found out about my little indiscretion. I called him while he was at work and confessed the whole thing over the phone. Surprisingly, instead of getting angry, Alex chuckled on the other end of the line. He said it made him feel better to see that even in our role-playing dynamic, we both still slip up sometimes. We ended up laughing about how much I loved those candy treats so much they couldn't resist me. So here’s my confession: I broke the no-sugar rule for just a moment of indulgence and learned that a little guilt doesn’t hurt when it comes to living our dynamic honestly.
