Forgot My Chores

I felt like such a naughty little thing today when I skipped doing my chores. Mama was so strict about it, and she gave me that look like I'd disappointed her big time. Oh man, the guilt was intense, I could practically feel her disappointment written all over me! But you know what made it even worse? Later, I found a cookie jar hidden under the sink and couldn't resist sneaking one when I knew I wasn’t supposed to. It tasted so good, but now I have this nagging feeling that Mama’s going to make me write out an apology note ten times longhand... Oh well, at least I’ll get to enjoy some sweet little-kid nostalgia while I do it!
