The Professor's Playroom

Anonymous Sparkly Duckling #413 · General Confessions

I’m Dr. Jenkins, a professor of philosophy in my fifties with more books than I can read. Recently, though, my life has taken an unexpected turn towards the whimsical, though maybe it’s just the last ten bottles of fine Bordeaux talking. Last month, one of my students suggested I explore the world of DDLG. The thought initially made me cringe; a grown man dressed in frilly dresses and playing house with another adult? It sounded like something out of a bad 1950s novel. But curiosity got the better of me, or maybe it was just the lingering effects of spring break in Barcelona. So here I am now, a mommy, doling out discipline and cuddles to my submissives with all the grace of a drunk sailor on land. And yet, there’s something strangely freeing about it, playing pretend and letting go of the pretense that comes with being an academic. The other day, after a particularly demanding session where I had my hands full (quite literally), I found myself questioning if this was really me in 2019 or just an overindulgent alter ego born from too much wine. So what’s next for the professor who plays mommy? Is there something beneath this role-play that speaks to a deeper, perhaps more hidden side of my character? Am I just seeking temporary escape, or is there lasting value in surrendering control and embracing vulnerability? What say you, dear readers?
