Forgot the Milk Again

Went to the store, was supposed to get milk for her. Got distracted by something stupid like checking if they had those special chocolate bars I love. Came home empty-handed again. She noticed right away and gave me that look... The disappointed one, the one that says 'really?' But she doesn't say it out loud. Just gives me this long stare until I feel guilty enough to apologize. It’s these little things lately that make me feel like I’m failing as a partner. Maybe I should try harder with the small stuff too.
