Small Slip-Up

Today was tough. Had to run errands all day and when I got home, the house was a mess. Told myself I'd clean later but instead grabbed that leftover cake from the fridge. It wasn't much, just a couple bites, but it felt wrong even then. Knew I shouldn’t have done it, not after promising to keep things tidy around here. Feels like such a little thing, yet it’s been weighing on me all day. Told myself I’d make up for it by cleaning twice as hard tonight, but the guilt still lingers. Sometimes being in charge is more than I can handle.
