...Oops...

I recently found myself in a bit of trouble for not following through with something my partner had requested. It wasn't anything big really... just that he wanted me to make sure the laundry was sorted and put away before leaving for work... but I got distracted by a project deadline and ended up forgetting all about it... When I came home, there was this pile of clean clothes waiting to be folded... and my partner looked at me with disappointment in his eyes... He reminded me that I had broken one of the rules we set for our dynamic... A sense of guilt washed over me as I realized how careless I'd been... We talked about it, and he explained why consistency is important even if it's something small like doing chores... It made me reflect on how I need to be more disciplined in following through with our agreements... Not exactly sexy or exciting... but it was a necessary reminder for both of us... I guess that's what this is all about sometimes... Learning and growing together in the little moments too...
