Small Lie Under Scrutiny

I felt like such a child today when I broke one of our rules just for convenience. After a long day at work and some training exercises with my Daddy, I was tired but had to make dinner too. He specifically told me that night was spaghetti from scratch, no shortcuts. But honestly, it was 9 PM and the store's closed. So instead, I made some quick pasta with sauce out of a jar. It was good enough! The next morning he asked how my cooking went, and I lied, saying everything was perfect just like always. In this dynamic, even small lies feel so heavy and dishonest.
