Protecting Her with My Life

There are moments when I'm so grateful for her that it almost hurts. She's a free spirit, in her twenties now, always pushing boundaries and taking risks — but she's also the most beautiful woman I know. As her Daddy, I've taken on the role of protector, mentor, and guide. She trusts me with everything, from big life decisions to just needing someone to hold while she cries. The other night, after a particularly bad breakup, she collapsed in my arms. It broke something inside me — I want nothing more than to shield her from every hurt. She's learned to lean on me and seek my guidance when needed. It’s funny; people see us together and think we're just two friends with an odd friendship dynamic, but there's so much more going on behind closed doors. We've built a strong bond that goes beyond the conventional boundaries of age or relationship status — I’m her rock, and she knows it.
