Breaking a Small Rule

Anonymous Curious Kitten #553 · General Confessions

I've recently entered into the dynamic of being in a Daddy-Daughter relationship with an online partner. I'm 29 and she's also 29, but for the purposes of our roleplay, it feels like we inhabit different worlds. She plays the part of a young daughter, while I take on the paternal figure who oversees her actions and offers guidance. Last week, she tasked me with doing a series of chores around my apartment. There were four main tasks: cleaning the bathroom, organizing my bookshelf, washing dishes, and taking out the trash. While we're both committed to the roleplay, it's still new territory for us, so I'm trying to navigate this carefully. Initially, I felt like following through with these chores was a no-brainer; however, as the day wore on, other responsibilities and distractions crept in. When dinner time rolled around, I found myself tempted by an old favorite snack that had been sitting in my cupboard for weeks but hadn't touched it since I entered this dynamic. It's not like these are treats I eat regularly anymore; they're more reminiscent of something from when we were younger and less health-conscious. I wrestled with the decision internally, considering how trivial this action would be within our larger context but also recognizing that rules in a DDLG relationship aren't just about what you do or don't do. There's an emotional contract involved too, one built on mutual respect and trust. So, I ended up eating the snack anyway. Afterward, I felt a mix of shame and guilt. It wasn’t as if it was anything major or even particularly unhealthy, but breaking that rule for such a small thing felt like betraying her trust in me, even if only on an emotional level. The whole situation made me question my commitment to the rules we've established together and the importance I place on maintaining this dynamic. I know in our roleplay, the consequences would be minimal, but it's more about acknowledging that feeling of violating a boundary she set for us. It's also reflective of how much I value her opinion and respect within this relationship. My actions, no matter how insignificant they might seem to an outsider, carry weight because we agreed on them together. This event has made me think deeply about the nature of trust in relationships where there are specific rules and roles involved. I'm not sure what the right thing to do is here, but it feels important for me to be honest with myself about why this matters so much to me personally.
