Little for a Day

Anonymous Shy Peach #127 · General Confessions

I work at a busy retail store and yesterday something unexpected happened. While helping an elderly customer find a gift for her grandson's birthday party, I felt an unusual urge to play along with the theme. Without thinking much about it, I asked if they needed any kids' party supplies and suggested we could match up my outfit to look like I was part of the celebration too. They thought it was cute and let me borrow a little boy’s hat from our toy department. Suddenly, I found myself walking around the store wearing that hat, feeling incredibly silly yet oddly comfortable in this new role as 'little.' Customers would stop by and give me funny looks but also smiles. The look on my manager's face was priceless when he saw me in it, surprise mixed with amusement. It felt liberating to be just a bit of myself that day without any real consequences, even if it did catch everyone off guard.
