Ashamed Admit

I often find myself slipping into a little space at work when talking to customers. It's embarrassing, acting like I'm asking for permission or approval for everything. Tonight, it got so bad that I started whimpering when the boss told me to clean up glasses. Why am I so ashamed of this? Have you ever felt this way?
