Forgot My Milk This Morning

So I spilled the beans this morning, not literally of course. I mean figuratively speaking; it was my own damn fault for leaving without my milk like a scatterbrained mess. The way Mommy glared at me over the counter from behind her coffee mug, just watching as I fumbled through excuses... oh boy, that look is more terrifying than any barista has a right to be in their apron and clogs. Needless to say, by the time she handed me my latte with extra foam (my favorite punishment), I was sweating like a newborn calf on a hot day. Must've been some rookie error since I’m in my twenties now; not sure why I'm still making these dumb mistakes at this age.
