A Day Off for Lessons

So today I had the day off from work and decided to spend it teaching my sub some valuable lessons. You know how it is, you try to be a good person, do your job well at the hospital, but there's just something about stepping into this role that feels so liberating. Today was all about the rules of the house and why they exist. No, I'm not being strict for no reason; every single one has its place in making us both better people. We had a little session where she had to clean up after herself properly, which is something we've been working on. And, well, let's just say there was some... creative discipline involved when things didn't go as planned. I don't know if she'll ever learn without the occasional reminder of who's in charge here. Anyway, it feels good to be a Mommy for real once in a while, even if that means being less than permissive at times.
