A Moment of Weakness

As a rule-abiding Daddy in my 50s, I pride myself on discipline, mine and others'. So it's a bit embarrassing to admit that last week, when tasked with cleaning the gutters by my partner, I... neglected it. The rain had already started pouring by the time I should have completed the task, and instead of facing it, I cracked open a bottle of whiskey and let the storm handle it. It felt juvenile, but there you go, sometimes the Daddy in me just wants to be lazy too.
