...Mommy's Special Night...
Anonymous Fuzzy Plum #479 · General Confessions
I've always been the strong one...the caregiver. But lately, I've been feeling so overwhelmed with work and life. It got to a point where even my relationships felt strained...like I was pushing everyone away. One night, after months of bottling it all up, I called her. She's someone special...an older woman in the community, wise and nurturing. We met under the moonlight at an abandoned playground...a place full of memories from childhood summers. There was no talk about rules or roles initially...just a deep need to let go. She understood my vulnerability and decided to be Mommy for me that night...to care for me in ways I'd never felt cared for before. We talked, laughed, held each other close, and shared an intimacy that transcended the usual...an emotional, tender connection. It was like shedding a heavy burden...letting someone else handle it all for once. The experience reminded me of my childhood in a comforting way...but it was very much about two consenting adults embracing their mutual need to be loved and cared for now, not then. I feel stronger since that night...not just physically but emotionally too. It's okay to admit you're not okay sometimes, right?...
