Conflicted Dynamics in Classroom Power Structures
Anonymous Giggly Cub #989 · General Confessions
I am a high school teacher who has always been fascinated by power dynamics, both inside and outside the classroom. My interest shifted several years into my career when I began exploring DDLG (Daddy-Daughter Dynamic) and caregiver/little scenarios with consenting adults. This exploration has led me down some complicated paths that have tested my ethical boundaries and personal values. It all started innocuously enough, as a form of self-exploration and play outside the professional sphere. However, over time, I found myself drawn to more intense scenes and deeper role-play. I would alternate between feeling like a strict caregiver and indulging in being taken care of by my partner, both equally satisfying but complex. The trouble began when some aspects of these adult role-plays started bleeding into how I interacted with students who showed interest in similar dynamics or who seemed to be exploring their own identities. I've always had clear professional boundaries, and it's not as if any student crossed the line, we kept our personal interactions respectful and appropriate for school settings. But there was this one instance that still haunts me. A young woman in my class, who was about to graduate, confided in me about her interest in DDLG relationships and how she felt out of place because no one seemed to understand her desires. I could relate deeply but found myself caught between being supportive as a teacher or indulging my own curiosity by sharing too much personal experience. In the end, I steered clear of overstepping into inappropriate territory but was left with a lingering sense that there's something unresolved about how these adult interests and professional roles can sometimes intersect in ways that are hard to navigate. It's not as if anyone was hurt or misled, but it felt like walking an ethical tightrope between personal exploration and maintaining clear boundaries at all times.
