The Stress of Retail and DDLG Escapism
Anonymous Candy Pixie #805 · General Confessions
I've been working at a retail store for the past three years. It's always been hectic and demanding, but lately it feels like I'm drowning in stress. My little girl, Lily, is my escape from this chaos. We've been exploring Daddy/Little dynamics to help me cope with everything, which has become quite intense emotionally. Every day after work, I change into her Daddy outfit, it's a simple polo and slacks, nothing fancy, and she transforms into this perfect little girl. She calls me 'Daddy' and it's like all the worries of my job melt away for a few precious hours. But lately, I feel like our dynamic is becoming more than just an escape from work stress; it feels deeper. I find myself looking forward to these moments more and more, as if they're grounding me in reality. Lily says she loves seeing me let go of the world outside for a little while, but I wonder if this is healthy or if there's something wrong with needing my 'little space' so much. Am I just using her to avoid dealing with my problems? Or can our DDLG play really be therapeutic in a genuine way? What do you think? Is it okay to have such strong emotional ties through an adult roleplay?
