A Small Transgression
Anonymous Pouty Peach #307 · General Confessions
I’m a high school teacher in my late twenties and I’ve recently found myself drawn to the dynamics of being cared for by someone else, but without it having any sexual connotations. The other day, I was at home alone after a particularly stressful week when I noticed a small package of sweets that were strictly off-limits because they were intended as part of my planned diet for next week’s classes. Despite knowing better and wanting to stay true to the commitment I made to myself about not eating these during this period, I gave in. As someone who tends to be quite disciplined, especially when it comes to professional responsibilities, giving into temptation felt like a significant lapse in character. It wasn’t so much about breaking the rule as it was feeling guilty for disappointing an imaginary authority figure, one that embodies care and guidance rather than punishment or control. This small act of defiance against my own rules made me reflect on why I seek this sense of being under someone else’s watchful eye, even when there's no real authority involved. It offers a strange comfort in knowing that somewhere out there is an understanding adult who would forgive the little missteps and guide me back towards my goals.
