A Switch in Control Dynamics

I've always been a bit of a switch when it comes to my DDLG dynamics. Some days, I crave the comfort and security of being taken care of like a little one, feeling safe under another's watchful eye. Other times, I'm all about providing that nurturing, protective role for someone else. It's this yin-yang aspect that keeps things interesting, but also leaves me wondering if others balance these roles as fluidly as I do. Do you find it common to switch between being the little one and the caregiver? Or am I just overthinking my dynamic?
