A Late Night Mistake
Anonymous Blushing Kitten #956 · General Confessions
I work nights at a care facility and have always prided myself on professionalism. But last week, after a particularly long shift where I was dealing with an elderly patient who kept asking to go back in time when he was younger, I... I ended up letting him take care of me for a bit. It felt odd, but comforting too. He told me stories about his childhood and how simple things were then. And without meaning to, I found myself acting like a little kid again, just wanting everything to be easy and not so complicated. We both knew it was just pretend, but it still made me feel guilty. What am I doing?
