A Caregiver's Curiosity

So, I've been with my partner for five years now, and we've kind of settled into this dynamic where they look to me as a caregiver more than anything else. It’s like when you’re sick and just need that warm soup and comfort from someone who knows how to take care of you. But lately, things have gotten... well, it’s funny to say out loud because I don’t even feel 35 sometimes! So here’s the deal: We’ve been doing this fun age-play thing where they pretend like they’re younger and needing more guidance. It’s not about being a kid or anything illegal, just the play of a younger mindset and the care that brings. But the question is: Should I give them space to grow up on their own when we're in that little-space mode? Or should I embrace this playful dynamic fully and keep the caregiver hat on tight? I mean, we both have jobs and responsibilities that aren’t part of any role-play scenario, but it’s kind of fun to pretend everything else just fades away. Like, who cares about deadlines when you’re being silly together with a warm blanket? So here I am, wondering if this is normal for couples to do and asking anyone out there with experience or advice to chime in!
