Little Mishap
Anonymous Bratty Cub #189 · General Confessions
I felt bad today. I know it was against the agreement but I couldn't help myself. We were supposed to keep the little corner clean and tidy all week, you see? But yesterday, when you weren't looking, I decided to hide a snack in there, a small bag of cookies. It's not much, just one little thing, right? But it ended up being more than that. This morning, crumbs were everywhere! And now the space isn't as neat as it should be. I feel like such a disappointment. I don’t want to let you down but sometimes my impulses get the better of me. It’s frustrating, really, because normally I’m so good at following rules and doing what's asked of me. But there are moments where it feels like being a little again, when all reason flies out the window and everything becomes about immediate desires. Why does that happen? Is it just me? Or is everyone this way sometimes? Maybe it’s not even about wanting to break rules but rather enjoying the sense of childish freedom, even if only for a moment. I shouldn't have done it. But maybe there's something bigger at play here too, maybe it has less to do with the act itself and more to do with the emotions surrounding it?
