A Little Off Track

I was feeling a bit reckless today and decided to sneak some chocolate when Mom specifically told me not to. It felt naughty, but also strangely exhilarating, like I was breaking the rules in a way that made my heart race. She’d asked me earlier to avoid anything sugary because she said it would give me too much energy later. But I couldn’t resist and ended up feeling both guilty and giddy about it. Now I’m waiting for her to find out, bracing myself for what’s next in our little game.
