Filling in for Mommy
Anonymous Whispering Bunny #575 · Daddy/Mommy Dynamics
I've always had this thing where I seek out someone to take care of me. When my real mom got ill last year, it hit me hard — she was the one who always knew how to make everything better. Then a friend introduced me to her husband, who is like no other man I know. He's in his early forties but carries himself with such a mature authority that I can't help feeling young and vulnerable around him.
We started this Daddy/Mommy dynamic where he plays the nurturing caregiver role, filling in for my mom until she gets better. It's strange but comforting — there’s something about how he makes me feel like someone truly cares again. He reads bedtime stories to me, reminds me to take medicine when I need it, and always checks if I've done everything right.
The best part? There's a mutual respect between us. We're both adults, and we know the rules of our game — but there’s also something real in how he treats me like his precious little girl, and that makes my heart feel full.
