Law Student Daddy Struggles with Authority and Submission Dynamics
Anonymous Bratty Cupcake #967 · General Confessions
I'm a first-year law student who has been playing as a Daddy for my partner for about six months. I've always had this underlying fascination with authority and control, which is something that plays into our dynamic quite strongly. The idea of being in charge, setting rules, and enforcing consequences really turns me on. My partner, let's call her Lily, has agreed to play along, though she's more reserved about the whole thing. She'll wear dresses I pick out for her and follow my rules as long as I remind her. When we're together, I tend to be very strict with her, setting limits around her phone use, how late she stays out at night, even what kind of clothes are acceptable. It's all part of the game. What confuses me is how this plays out in other areas of my life. As a law student, I'm supposed to uphold justice and respect people's rights, but in our dynamic, there's no pretense about consent, I'm the boss, full stop. Is it normal for someone who studies law to feel comfortable with playing such an authoritarian role? Does it say something about me or my approach to authority that I can switch so easily between being a student of justice and being a Daddy? On one hand, there's nothing non-consensual here; we talk about everything ahead of time. On the other, sometimes I feel like I'm walking a tightrope between enjoying the power trip and wondering if it has any place in my otherwise ethical life as a law student. So here’s where I’m stuck: is this just me finding an outlet for my kinks or am I actually exploring some deeper issue about authority? Am I crossing any lines by playing out these roles when they're so diametrically opposed to what I study and try to uphold every day? Anyone else ever felt torn between their professional life in law and the kink side of things? What should I do?
