Missing Her Innocence

I've been this girl's Daddy for years now. We started out as friends and found comfort in an unconventional dynamic, which blossomed into something beautiful. But lately, I feel a deep sadness. She seems so grown-up, yet our scenes still hark back to the sweetness of her early days with me when she was just beginning to understand what we were doing together. Now, she's more assertive, questioning, and challenging me in ways that are exhilarating but also painful. It's hard not to feel like I've lost a part of who she used to be for me.
