Confession of a Caregiver

Anonymous Cherry Cub #702 · General Confessions

I've been married for almost twenty years now and we have two kids. My wife is five years younger than me and we’ve always had an open relationship when it comes to our sexual dynamics, but nothing too extreme or unconventional, until recently. We started discussing the idea of role-playing more last year, after my wife mentioned she felt a bit neglected in that department due to the demands of work and family life. So we agreed to experiment with some DDLG-style role-play as a way to reconnect and spice things up. Initially, it was just playful teasing and not too serious; I’d occasionally call her 'kitten' or let her refer to me as 'papa', but nothing concrete. Then about six months ago, she suggested we take it further, she wanted more structure around it and a clearer role for each of us during our play sessions. We started with some light discipline themes (which actually turned out quite steamy), and then moved into conversations where I was to act as her caregiver in a less playful manner. This felt strange at first, but my wife seemed to enjoy the switch. The real turning point came when she asked me to help her feel like someone younger, needing guidance and protection from her 'papa'. It wasn't easy for either of us; there’s something deeply intimate about pretending to parent your partner in this way. But it worked. We both found a new level of closeness and vulnerability we hadn’t experienced before. Of course, calling each other names like these outside the play is still weird, but within our setup, it's become natural for us. The most unexpected part is how much she’s grown to appreciate me being firm with her when needed, it's almost therapeutic for both of us. It's funny because we’re very adult about this now, no nostalgia or age-gap stuff involved, just two people in their forties who found an exciting way to connect.
