A Boring Day With a Twist
Anonymous Dreamy Cupcake #996 · General Confessions
This week at work has been absolutely nothing but tedious spreadsheets and pointless meetings. I’m starting to think that my title of 'office worker' is more accurate than ever. But tonight, things took an unexpected turn when I was hanging out with someone I consider a caregiver, someone who’s there for support and guidance without the typical labels like ‘Daddy’ or ‘Mommy’. We were discussing our week over drinks, and she mentioned how stressed I looked. Before I knew it, I found myself agreeing to some playful discipline as a way to unwind from my stressful week. She laid out rules that felt oddly liberating, like staying in character, no phones until morning, and following through on little requests like chores or small tasks to ease the mental load. It wasn’t just about submission; there was a mutual understanding of support and trust between us. I can admit it’s not typical, but it definitely made my week better.
