A Little Bit of Guilt After Skipping a Chore
Anonymous Blushing Cub #128 · General Confessions
I'm sitting here late at night, thinking about all the things I didn't do today. One little thing stands out in my mind, I skipped vacuuming our living room. It's such a small detail, but it feels like a bigger deal because of how we've structured everything around discipline and responsibility as a military family. Vacuuming is part of maintaining order, which is something I hold very close to heart. But tonight, for some reason, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. It’s not that I don’t care or am being lazy, it's more like the day was long and I needed a break from rules and duties. Now I feel this odd mix of guilt and liberation, wondering if breaking this small rule means I’m challenging my own boundaries for good reasons, or if it's just me being inconsistent with self-imposed discipline.
