the care i give

so this is kinda hard to talk about but here goes... i've been into a mix of caregiver and little for the last couple years. it started off as more playful and fun, like roleplaying different scenarios with someone i was seeing who got into it too. we had some great times together but then things shifted a bit. our dynamic changed from playful to something more serious. i guess it's not so much serious but just...different now. i'm still into taking care of them and being the little one sometimes, but there are moments when i feel like i'm stepping too far over into real life territory. like sometimes they need me for things that aren't just roleplay stuff. laundry, cooking, going to doctor's appointments. it feels good to help out in these ways but also kinda weird at the same time. i try not to think about how much of this is real and how much is still pretend because it all gets mixed up so easily. i love taking care of them but i don't want to end up feeling like a full-on caregiver when we both agreed on playing roles. then again, maybe that's part of the fun too? being able to transition between playful little and helpful partner/caregiver in real life. i know it sounds confusing but it feels kinda messy inside. i enjoy giving them care and attention but worry if this is crossing a line into something unhealthy or codependent. sometimes it all gets tangled up, hard to separate what's just roleplay fun from everyday caring stuff. but mostly i hope we're both okay with how things are right now, whatever they may be.
