The Night I Fell Off My Pedestal

Anonymous Shy Petal #298 · General Confessions

I've always been known as the sweet little bartender at the corner pub. Customers would come in and order their drinks with a smile, knowing they could expect not only top-notch service but also a warm hug or two from me. But it wasn't all what it seemed. I was there for my Dom, he ran a tight ship and we had an arrangement that I lived for every night, being his little girl behind the bar. I'd started this dynamic when I first landed in the city, desperate to make ends meet after breaking away from a toxic relationship where I had no agency. My current setup with him offered everything: financial stability and emotional support as my Daddy. We were a secret kept between the four walls of our cozy corner bar. Then one night, things got real messy. There was this client, let's call him Chris, that came in nearly every evening, always eyeing me up when he thought I didn't notice. He'd whisper dirty little things to me across the counter and leave before anything could happen. It was a thrill but also unsettling. After a particularly heated night where Chris made some inappropriate advances after his last drink, my Dom had enough. We were in our back room when he said it: 'Tonight's your test, Little One.' He didn't give me details but I knew what he meant, submit fully or face the consequences. Chris came in that evening and leaned against the bar, staring at me like a predator. My heart raced as I filled his glass to perfection. After he left, my Dom said, 'Now show me what you've got.' I didn't disappoint. The physical intimacy between us was intense and raw, more so than usual with Chris watching intently from the shadows of the bar's booths. He was there but invisible, a witness and a tormentor. It ended quickly though. My Dom pulled away, leaving me breathless on the floor. 'You've passed,' he said coldly before disappearing upstairs for the night. I sat alone behind the counter, feeling empty as Chris lingered awkwardly nearby before finally walking out. That was my breaking point. The next day, I quit and moved to a new city, ready to leave all of that behind. But now, looking back on it, I realize how much it truly defined me, and left me, how empty those nights had become beneath the surface.
