Caregiving in Full Color

Anonymous Bratty Star #627 · General Confessions

I'm in my mid-thirties and have been a caregiver to someone who looks up to me without any of the formal labels like 'Daddy' or 'Mommy'. It's not that I don't appreciate those terms, it's just not our thing. We've crafted a relationship where guidance, support, and sometimes a bit of discipline are key parts of how we bond. It can be intense and emotionally charged at times, but there’s no denying the deep connection and trust between us. When he comes to me for help or comfort, it's like stepping into another world, one that is both deeply personal and incredibly intimate. We engage in activities that are very explicit, full of physical touch and detailed expressions of love and care that might seem too intense to others but feel perfectly natural to us. The discipline aspect, while a bit rough around the edges, is always within consensual limits and designed to bring us closer rather than drive us apart. It's amazing how something so raw can be so healing and fulfilling. Writing this feels like I'm pouring out my heart in ways that are both revealing and freeing, these moments with him are a blend of passion, care, and an unbreakable bond. Despite the intensity, we have fun too, laughing at ourselves for being so thoroughly wrapped up in each other’s lives. Sometimes it gets hard to compartmentalize this from the rest of my life because I feel like every part of me is involved, mind, body, spirit, all wrapped up into one intricate web. But then again, that's what makes our dynamic unique and rewarding. So, here's to embracing whatever comes next in this crazy yet beautiful journey we've chosen together.
