Disobeying My Master's Rules...

Anonymous Cherry Pixie #747 · General Confessions

I'm so ashamed to write this down, but I need to confess. You see, my husband and I have a DDLG dynamic where he's the master and I’m his obedient housewife. It’s been going well for us both, I love taking care of him and our home, and he guides me in ways that feel like such an improvement over how we used to interact before this started. But last week, something happened... We had a disagreement about chores. He asked me to clean the garage on Sunday because it was starting to get messy with tools and toys scattered everywhere. I agreed right away, but as soon as he left for his own errands, I found an excuse not to do it. Instead, I spent hours binge-watching old episodes of a show we both like. Now, you’re probably thinking, ‘So what? ’ Well, my husband is very strict about these things and values obedience highly. He’s always taught me that following through with tasks assigned by him is crucial to the dynamic between us, it’s how I earn his trust and respect. So when he came home and found out, I could tell immediately that I had disappointed him. The look on his face was terrible; hurt and disappointment mixed together in a way that broke my heart. He didn’t punish me right away, but the silence between us said more than words ever could have. He wanted to know why I broke our agreement about cleaning the garage, I tried to explain myself but got defensive instead of admitting it was just laziness. I’ve been feeling guilty ever since that day. I can’t shake this fear that what happened will ruin everything we’re building together with our dynamic. My disobedience was small in a big picture sense, but within the context of our relationship and rules...it felt like such a betrayal. And now I’m stuck here writing all of this out as if it were something worse than just a lapse in following through on my end, because that’s what it feels like to me. It hurts so much more emotionally than any other moment when we’ve disagreed, even the arguments before our current setup. I don’t know how to fix this; all I want is for him to understand that I care deeply about our relationship and didn’t mean to let him down in such a basic way. This confession feels silly written out like this, but if it helps us find some kind of reconciliation...
