Little Space Experiment

I'm fifty-two and have always prided myself on being the consummate professional. But one night, I slipped into a little space with my partner, something we'd talked about but never tried. It was like falling back to an age of less responsibility and no worries, kind of freeing, surprisingly enough. She acted as if I were her child needing guidance, which felt odd at first but strangely comforting too. We didn't go all out or anything, just a brief dip into role-play. I enjoyed the novelty of it, even if it was more about the concept than the action itself.
