... Lost in the Role ...

Anonymous Giggly Bean #216 · General Confessions

I'm 24 years old, been Daddy for almost two years now. We started off as friends who were both interested in this lifestyle, and we clicked right away. At first, it was a fun game to play out, but over time, I found myself really getting into it. The dynamic feels so natural between us that it's hard to imagine any other way of being together. We've been living together for about a year now. Everything is good on the surface, or at least it looks like that from the outside... When we're not in role, I'm still deeply attracted to her as someone more than my daughter, but also as a friend and partner. However, there's this other part of me that sometimes worries whether our dynamic is healthy or if it's crossing some invisible line. She trusts me completely; she looks up to me for guidance and support in ways that go beyond just the role-play. I know she sees me as someone who's going to be there for her no matter what, even though we both consented to this setup. She's never questioned it or seemed unhappy with it... but lately, there are moments when a part of me wonders if she's ever felt trapped by our arrangement. We talk about everything under the sun, except this... What am I missing? Is this normal for others in the DDLG community who have taken on such an intense role-play dynamic? Am I being selfish or unfair to her by not having more real-world discussions about how she feels inside of it all? I just don't want to lose what we've built, but also can't shake off these nagging doubts...
