Understanding My Kink

I'm in my 30s and work as a nurse. Recently, I've been feeling drawn to DDLG scenarios where I play the little role with someone who's more dominant than me. It started when I was exploring some new hobbies online and stumbled upon stories involving age-play dynamics. What puzzles me is why this particular kink resonates so deeply with me. Is it a desire for protection, guidance, or simply an escape from adult responsibilities? Or perhaps it’s the thrill of letting go and being cared for by someone else in a way that I can’t typically allow myself to be at my age.
