My Secret Kinks

Anonymous Cuddly Fawn #610 · General Confessions

I don't know how I got here. It started small, like watching some videos on my phone late at night when everyone else was asleep. Then one day, I found myself dressing up in old clothes from my closet that felt smaller than me, trying to relive a moment from years ago but through a completely different lens now that I'm an adult and fully aware of what I’m doing. It's not like I can go back and be anyone else, it’s just this strange game I play with myself sometimes when things get too stressful. Last week, it was worse than ever. My boss gave me some feedback that felt really personal and I didn't know how to handle the emotions swirling inside. So late at night, after everyone had gone to bed and I knew no one would see, I found my old teddy bear from when I was a kid, a gift from my grandmother before she passed away, and just hugged it close as if I were a child again. It’s ridiculous but also comforting in this weird way. I even tried wearing some of my friend's clothes, the ones who are much younger than me, almost like a costume to shift my mindset for a while. The irony is not lost on me; here I am, an adult man, trying to feel like something else entirely through these silly little acts. And it works too, sometimes, but other times it feels more isolating. The hardest part isn't the actions themselves or even the shame that comes after. It’s knowing there's a part of me that yearns for simpler days, when life was less complicated and I didn’t have to deal with all this grown-up stuff. Yet here I am, navigating through it all on my own while keeping these secret little rituals hidden away in corners of my room. Maybe someday I'll figure out why I do it or how to stop, I hope so, but for now, it’s just another part of me that lives in shadows.
